Meet Nils
I'm a VFX compositor and supervisor based in Sydney, with 20+ years of experience across film, television and advertising. I work primarily in Flame, Nuke and After Effects. My core skills are compositing and motion design, and my happy place is where the two meet.
My career has been broad, spanning photo labs, TV stations, production companies, post facilities, VFX studios and ad agencies. Alongside these roles, I've created exhibition art, produced independent music videos and programmed for an arthouse cinema.
My feature film credits range from lead compositor on Palme d'Or nominee Gillian Armstrong's Women He's Undressed to GUI design for the sci-fi film Guardians of the Tomb.
In the ad world, I've had the pleasure of collaborating with Time Based Arts, Black Kite, Brand New School, MPC, Glassworks, Coffee & TV, Heckler and Blockhead. Together we've created global campaigns for clients such as Apple, Adidas, Nike, Warner Bros. and Google, as well as music videos for Khruangbin, All Our Exes Live in Texas, Flo, Sevdaliza and Grimes.
I'm an Australian/Dutch/British triple national, a native English speaker and fluent in Dutch.
